Guerra Homecoming | USS George H.W. Bush

Today was a joyous day not just because we had an eclipse but because more than 7,000 sailors came home to their loved ones after a seven month deployment. One of those sailors was Jimmy. His lovely wife, Emily has been waiting for him to return to her.

I had the pleasure of photographing a session with these two lovebirds before Jimmy left last winter. Still to this day, it's one of my favorite sessions! So when Emily contacted me about capturing their homecoming, it was a no brainer. Emily is the cutest and I love everything about her. She was so anxious when the ship came in and was ready to see her man! When she finally spotted him, it felt like he was a mile away. That didn't keep her from making a path. I raced behind her in the crazy big crowd and she was finally reunited with her hubby. She couldn't stop kissing him. It was so cute! I am so glad she back with the man of her dreams!

Jimmy and all the other sailors on the USS George H.W. Bush, thank you for service and everything you sacrifice to make sure we stay safe in our great nation. I couldn't help but feel all the love that surrounded me!
