Michalis and Irene Married | Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Where do I begin? What a joyous day it was celebrating Michalis and Irene saying their "I do's" to one another.

It all began when I met with this sweet couple last fall for a consult over some coffee. We hit it off right away. When she told me that her wedding would be nautical themed, I was so excited. Irene has such a great sense of style so I knew their wedding would be beautiful.

Irene and Michalis' family are that family that makes you feel like you are one of them. It just made the day that more special. They were married in the beautiful Greek Orthodox church in one of the most beautiful altars that I have ever seen. To the gold chandelier to the gorgeous murals on the walls and ceilings, it was down right breathtaking. After their lavender sendoff, the party continued in at the Newport News Warwick Yacht Club. Oh, how beautiful Irene decorated that reception wonderfully.

We were hoping to snag some golden hour portraits but mother nature had different plans for us. This couple did not let a little rain ruin their day. They embraced that rain like they did the whole day with big smiles.

The night continued on the dance floor! I have never seen some much dancing at a wedding! They even managed to get me on the dance floor! I loved when I get to witness a couple so deeply in love on the dance floor, It's like watching a couple that is all alone and nobody is around. They are truly in love. There's no better love than that!
