Marianna + JT | Married | Suffolk Lake House

You know when you meet someone and you instantly feel like you have known them your whole life. That is actually how I feel about this couple! And not only our bride and groom but the whole family!

It all began last fall when I meet with Marianna and JT and her sister and her fiance. We all got along immediately. It's like one of those meetings where you shake hands at the beginning then at the end of the meeting, you all hug it out because you are just so excited! I was lucky enough to book not only Marianna and JT but also her sister's wedding! How lucky am I?!?!

I loved hearing of all of Marianna's details she had planned for her wedding day! I knew it was going to be amazing!

Fast forward to this past Saturday, we arrived at JT"s grandma's lake house in Suffolk, Virginia. Another plus! The wedding location was only 15 minutes from our house! The lake house was a little hidden gem. It was pretty hot outside but the view was so breathe taking, that you forgot about that heat.

The couple had one of my biggest wedding parties that I have ever had before. 31 people. Everyone of them was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. They attended to Marianna with pure joy and was eager to walk down the aisle. Marianna and JT didn't want to do a first look but they did want to pray together before the ceremony. How sweet is that?

Marianna wanted to do a first look with her dad and her brother and it was cute. They couldn't stop gushing at the beautiful bride. She also gave her mother and mother-in-law an embroidered handkerchief so that they could wipe away their happy tears during the ceremony.

During the ceremony, JT's dad, Jimmy married them as well as Marianna's brother, George with all the beautiful Greek traditions. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! After the ceremony, I stole the lovely couple on the golf cart and we went to a golden wheat field to capture their portraits. I love this time of the wedding day. It is a time when the bride and groom can take in all that just happened and be themselves. I have no words for how ecstatic I am for this portraits! They're gorgeous!!!!

The night ended with Chinese lanterns and dancing with family! And wow! Do they know how to have a good time! The bride got down and did an air guitar to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing."

Marianna and JT we couldn't be more happy for you two and I hope that we started a friendship that will last a lifetime!
